Be strong and show yourself a man. And keep the charge of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and keeping His statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn. – 1 Kings 2:2-3
God Loves Men
In today’s culture when gender dysphoria seems the rule rather than the exception, Senator Josh Hawley, suggests American men have “lost their way,” has written a book on the importance of masculinity, citing Biblical examples and directives. Today’s verse comes from King David’s end-of-life advice given to his son, Solomon, on manhood, just one of many Scripture references to the ways in which God sees men. Rather than worrying about this or that idea being passed along by social and mainstream media, turn to the Word of God. Affirm the manhood of the husband, father, son, or other men in your life and encourage them to be men of God, doing life His way, and pray for them and other men who would be true and accurate role models in today’s America.
